Brazil's Azul plans to begin its first international flights to the USA from 1 December.
The airline says it has applied to Brazil's civil aviation authority ANAC to launch service to Fort Lauderdale on 1 December, followed by Orlando from 15 December.
The carrier will operate daily to each city from its hub at Viracopos-Campinas International airport, with Airbus A330-200s.
Azul says the Fort Lauderdale flights will depart in the evenings while the Orlando departures will leave in the morning, to give passengers two options for flights to the USA.
At Viracopos-Campinas, Azul passengers arriving from the USA will be able to connect to 50 cities in Brazil through more than 150 daily flights.
