B/E Aerospace is supplying all seating for US Airways' new Airbus 319/320/321 fleet in a deal worth $27 million for the first 124 aircraft.

This could rise to $85 million if the airline exercises its option for a further 276 aircraft to complete its narrowbody fleet replacement programme.

Deliveries

US Airways has selected B/E's newly-introduced Millennium model seat for first class and the company's new Reliance 985 model for the main cabin.

Deliveries are due to start in July this year.

Robert J Khoury, vice-chairman and chief executive officer, says the deal puts B/E in a favourable position in the forthcoming selection process for US Airways' new international fleet expansion, consisting of multi-class service on a number of new-buy widebody aircraft.
