British Airways is to sell its ground fleet services division to Ryder System's UK subsidiary, as an early move in the airline's pledge to make a £1 billion ($1.6 billion) improvement in its performance over the next three years. BAsays that Ryder will be awarded a five-year contract to continue providing ground-equipment engineering and vehicle leasing services at London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports. More sell-offs and partnerships in non-core services are expected.
