British Airways is to deploy Airbus A380s to the US city of San Francisco from the beginning of next summer.
The Oneworld carrier says the 469-seat aircraft will operate the transatlantic service from London Heathrow five times per week.
BA will continue to use Boeing 747-400s for its other two rotations on the route.
San Francisco will become the latest A380 destination for BA after Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Johannesburg and the deployment in October to Washington and Singapore.
