UK airports operator BAA has appointed Andrew Jurenko chief executive for Australia Pacific Airports, the new consortium formed between BAA and two Australian financial institutions to contend for the forthcoming sale of Australia's airports. Jurenko, who will be based in Sydney, will be replaced as managing director of BAA Pacific, by Tim Ayris, who will be based in Hong Kong. Ayris is now head of legal services for BAA, based in London. Chris Hoare, now managing director of BAA Australasia, will return to London to take up the newly created post of community-affairs project director.
