Nephew L E Haworth has pointed out that Woodford might provide another British-designed alternative to the Nimrod as the perfect testbed for NASA's multiple-engines-in-wing concept technology study. Perhaps the Advanced Aeropropulsion project (Flight International, 19-25 March) could use a Vulcan instead. Aaaaaah....Avro!
