B-N Group The UK’s last privately owned airframer, formerly Britten-Norman, is facing its first industrial action in over 40 years after failing to reach a pay agreement with staff. More than 80 Amicus members were due to begin a series of stoppages on 6 October. The Isle of Wight manufacturer – famous for the Islander 12-seater – refocused on defence after being rescued from liquidation by Omani investors six years ago.
