A British Aerospace 146-100, formerly operated by the Abu Dhabi Amiri Flight of the United Arab Emirates, has been ferried from the Franco/Swiss Basle-Mulhouse airport to Bournemouth, UK, by an Antonov An-124. The 15-year-old aircraft had been at the airport for maintenance with Crossair, but, after corrosion was discovered, the operator decided to dispose of it. The 146 remained at Basle for more than a year, but has now been bought by Air Salvage International and ferried to Bournemouth where it will be broken for spares.
