The BAE Systems Airframe Team has received a prestigious Lockheed Martin Aerostar award for its work on the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) bid. The award, which recognises major technical innovation or expertise, was given for the BAE team's development of an aft fuselage ground-based demonstrator that will significantly contribute to the low observability characteristics of the Lockheed JSF.
It is the first time non-Lockheed Martin employees have received the award.
