British Aerospace has won a contract worth more than £100 million ($163 million) from the Royal Air Force Logistics Command to upgrade Rolls-Royce Adour turbofans for the RAF's Sepecat Jaguar strike aircraft. The contract will provide the RAF with Mk106 standard engines, similar to those in the Indian air force fleet, with the Adour 871 core and 811 reheat element. Development will be carried out at Warton, with modification work handled by RAF St Athan.
