British Airways says that it has withdrawn its legal action against Aéroports de Paris (ADP) for failing to provide adequate baggage check-in security at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG)Airport. BA says that the action follows ADP's provision of a new passenger check-in location.

The seven-week dispute, which BA maintains has cost it "a considerable loss of revenue", was centred on Air Algerie's new service into Paris having its check-in located next to BA's at CDG Terminal 1, but without any of the additional security arrangements which are provided for Air Algerie at all its other French gateway airports (Flight International, 14-20 May, P11). ADP, however, insisted that baggage security was good enough.

Now, BA reveals, it has negotiated temporary ticketing and check-in arrangements at Terminal 1, which can process all its Paris traffic adequately until a permanent location in the same terminal is ready in September.
