The second Beriev Be-200 twin-jet amphibian production prototype flew for 40min on 27 August from the Irkutsk Aircraft Production Association facility. The second aircraft is built to the Be-200ChS specifications devised by Russia's ministry for emergencies, which has orders and options for 15 aircraft. The Be-200 received restricted certification last year, for firefighting and training flights. Full approval is due by the middle of next year.
