Bell Helicopter is teaming with Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) of Taiwan to establish a Bell certified maintenance centre (CMC) in Taichung.
Bell chief executive Mike Redenbaugh says the CMC will strengthen services supplied to the Taiwan Army by Bell and will establish a new capability at AIDC for upgrades, system modifications, testing and maintenance of Bell military helicopters.
AIDC built the Taiwan Army's current fleet of UH-1H helicopters under licence from Bell as well as composite panels for distribution worldwide on Bell's commercial 412 fleet.
