Taiwan and the Czech Republic have signed an agreement which permits their respective airworthiness authorities to certify certain components of the 10-seat Ibis Aerospace Ae270 single-engined turboprop. The aircraft is a joint venture between Taiwan's state-owned Aero Industrial Development Corporation and Aero Vodochody and is scheduled for US certification next year. The agreement could also be expanded to cover other models of aircraft, Taiwan's civil aviation authority says. Meanwhile, California-based Woodland Aviation has been named US West Coast distributor for the Ae270.
