Biman Bangladesh Airlines has issued a tender seeking MRO services for the repair and overhaul of four Pratt & Whitney PW150A engines on its Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 turboprops.
Tender documents indicate that bidders must have a minimum experience in repairing and overhauling of aircraft gas turbine engines. The parties must also have experience repairing and overhauling of at least five PW150A engines over the last three years.
Bidders must also be approved either by the FAA or EASA and its local regulatory authority.The contract will last for a period of five years.
Responses to the tender are due by 5 August at 14.00 local time, at Biman Engineering’s hangar at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International airport.
Flightglobal’s Ascend Fleets database shows that the airline operates two Q400 turboprops, on lease from Egyptian carrier Smart Aviation.
