The US Army has signed a $220 million contract with Sikorsky to begin research, development , test and evaluation of the UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter. The programme will extend to the remanufacture of 1,200 helicopters. Work on the first initial low rate production of 12 is due to start in 2004.
