Frontier Airlines, the Denver-based low-fares carrier that had been profitable before the crisis, won federal backing for a $70 million loan guarantee, which it will use to help finance its order for 14 Airbus A319s. Hawaii-based Aloha Airlines also won tentative loan guarantees of $45 million from the Air Transportation Stabilization Board.
