Singapore-based leasing company BOC Aviation has taken delivery of its 50th Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft, which it had ordered from Boeing.
BOC Aviation will be leasing the Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Canadian low-cost carrier WestJet.
"We have committed to acquire 100 of this popular aircraft type, including commitments we have made to support our customers under purchase and leaseback transactions," said Robert Martin, BOC Aviation's managing director and CEO.
The lessor, owned by the Bank of China, has 69 aircraft on firm order and two on a committed purchase and leaseback agreement.
