Boeing 737-900 launch customer Alaska Airlines took delivery of its first of 11 aircraft on order in a ceremony at Boeing's Seattle plant on 16 May. Alaska will take two more 737s this month and deliveries will continue until April 2003.
Alaska will use the 172-seater to accommodate traffic growth on its high-density US west coast routes and to expand its network.
