Boeing's net orders for 2009 remain unchanged, though the airframer's 787 orderbook has risen by five, while its 767 backlog has shrunk by five aircraft.
The company's latest order update shows Boeing now holds 866 orders -- including the five new orders--from 56 existing customers for its 787 Dreamliner, indicating the latest orders were not placed by a new operator.
Boeing says the first six 787 flight test aircraft remain unallocated to customers, and the five new aircraft for the unidentified customer will be production standard.
Boeing has amassed a gross total of 65 orders for aircraft in 2009, with 65 cancellations, leaving the net order total at zero for the year.
