Boeing and Air France Industries KLM Engineering and Maintenance have renewed their Boeing 777 component services programme for several years.
Airlines use a shared pool of 777 parts under the programme, which Boeing says will reduce the airlines’ investment in spares.
The programme launched in 2003 and supports 177 aircraft from 18 airline customers, including Garuda Indonesia, TAAG Angola Airlines, Kenya Airways and Ethiopian Airlines. About 47% of 777 operators have opted to use the programme, says Boeing.
