Boeing delivered 489 airliners last year and took 611 firm orders. While output was down 21% on 1999's record 620 deliveries, the US manufacturer's orders were up by more than one-third on the previous year's tally of 391. Boeing says annual output is expected to stabilise at around 530 aircraft for the next two years.
