Boeing has selected the IBM and Dassault Systemes Version 5 family of product life-cycle management software for the 7E7 programme, under a multi-million-dollar contract that covers the company-wide transition by 2007 to Catia V5 for collaborative design and product development, Enovia and Smarteam for product data and life-cycle management, and Delmia for digital manufacturing. Partners and suppliers on the 7E7 programme will be expected to implement the V5 architecture.
