Boeing has chosen GE Aircraft Engines and Rolls-Royce but not Pratt & Whitney to develop powerplants for the 7E7 mid-sized widebody. GE will develop an engine derived from its GE90 family, while Rolls-Royce will produce a version of its Trent engine.
