Boeing is acquiring Swedish software company Carmen Systems for an undisclosed sum through its Jeppesen subsidiary. Carmen provides resource optimisation software and services to the transport industry. “Through this acquisition we are enhancing our portfolio of airline operations services,” says Mark Van Tine, Jeppesen president and chief operating officer. He says the move will allow customers “to more effectively manage their operating costs through greater operational efficiency”.
