The first privately-owned aircraft in the Middle East to be equipped with Connexion by Boeing mobile information service was announced at the show yesterday.
Kingdom Holding of Saudi Arabia selected the Boeing system to provide connectivity and in-flight direct broadcast television for its B747.
The system will be installed during modification completion at Associated Air Center, for service beginning in 2005.
"This agreement is another boost of confidence in the added value that broadband connectivity can bring to both private and commercial aircraft operators," says Connexion president Scott Carson.
