Hundreds of exhibitors and contractors were left “tired and disappointed” after being locked out of the halls for 4h on Monday afternoon.
Organisers called the delay a “routine bomb sweep” before the minister of defence visits the show on Tuesday, but a scheduled 1h procedure closed the halls from 13:00 until 17:05.
Exhibitors were understandably upset. Elettronica’s Giovanni Carlini said: “We are tired and disappointed. This has upset our preparations for the show.” Alexa Rohling looks after 24 exhibitors in the German Pavilion. She said: “We are not happy that we had to stand in the heat for so long.”
