Bombardier has completed the integration of its Canadair and Learjet business aircraft sales teams, eight years after it acquired the US manufacturer.

The last organisation to be merged is the North American sales team, which from 1 February will be a single entity headed by senior vice-president Bill Monroe, based at Learjet in Wichita, Kansas. The international and used aircraft sales teams have already been integrated.

When Bombardier acquired Learjet, it kept the business aircraft sales teams separate, arguing that its Canadair Challenger and the Learjet family had different appeals.

That issue has now been overcome, and integrated teams, headed by president, sales John Lawson, now market the entire Bombardier business aircraft range. This includes the Learjet 31A, 45 and 60, Challenger 604, Global Express and the new Continental mid-size aircraft, which the company is expected to launch later this year.
