Final assembly of the first Bombardier de Havilland Dash 8-400 is now under way at the Canadian company's Toronto site. The fuselage section, constructed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, arrived at Toronto on 30 April, and has been mated to the nose assembly, which is built by de Havilland. The first example of the 70-seat high-speed turboprop is scheduled to be completed late in 1997, and service entry is expected during the first quarter of 1999.
