A major maintenance contract from the US Air Force has boosted one of Sikorsky's key strategic aims to generate additional revenue from the after-sales side of its business. The agreement with the USAF's Air Education and Training Command (ATEC) calls for Sikorsky Support Services Inc (SSSI) to service 10 HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopters and six Bell UH-1N Hueys at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico and four Hueys at Fairchild AFB in Washington.

The one-year contract, with seven 12-month options, will be worth $41 million over eight years if all options are exercised. Work will include routine maintenance and phase inspections of the aircraft.
