A new aerospace park planned for Singapore will create 10,000 new jobs and contribute one per cent to the nation’s total GDP, according to JTC, the company tasked with creating the facility.

The Seletar development is expected to take eight years to complete, beginning early next year. Singapore already accounts for a quarter of maintenance, repairs and overhaul (MRO) services in the Asia Pacific region. The development will give the city the ability to grow its service to meet demand in the booming Asian aerospace market.

As well as MRO the facility will cater for research and development, engineering and training.
