Dave Barger, president and chief operating officer of JetBlue Airways, has had jet fuel flowing in his veins as long as his chief executive David Neeleman.

Last year, JetBlue sent Thanksgiving meals to tower staff at all its airports. People ask us what the agenda is, Barger says. "The only agenda is that we want to be part of the community and say thanks."
