Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has opened an office in Melbourne, Victoria, to cover operations in Asia and Australasia.
The company says that the office is to become Embraer's fourth major international representation after Brazil, the USA and France. It is intended to give service and support to the company's growing customer base in the region, as well as linking into the company's sales and marketing operation.
Embraer says that it has more than 60 aircraft operating in the region, mainly among commercial regional operators, with more than half of them being located in Australia.
