Marsans ponders synergies

Grupo Marsans is seeking ways for Aerolineas Argentinas to gain from Spain's Air Comet replacing Air Madrid on many Latin American routes. The Marsans group is majority owner of Aerolineas and Air Plus Comet, which is being rebranded Air Comet as part of its transition from a charter carrier to a full-service carrier.

Court sides with New Varig

A Rio de Janeiro court has ordered Brazil's aviation agency to return 22 slots at São Paulo's Congonhas airport to Varig successor VRG Linhas Aereas. The slots were taken after VRG missed a use-or-lose deadline to retain them.

Air Transat adds Heathrow
