Officers from Scotland Yard's extradition squad supported by Ministry of Defence police raided the Dassault chalet at Farnborough during the flying display yesterday afternoon at the request of the Belgian police.

It is understood that they were seeking Dassault president Serge Dassault and at least one other senior company executive in connection with allegations of bribery to Belgium government officials in exchange for defence contracts. An international warrant has been issued.

Sources close to Scotland Yard say that neither Dassault or the other unnamed executive were in the chalet at the time.

In an interview in Monday's Flight Daily News, Serge Dassault - speaking from Paris - denied any criminal actions and said he would be happy to be interviewed by the Belgian police ... in France.
