Speed record

A Bombadier Global 5000 business jet has set a fourth speed record flying 6,765km (3,652nm) non-stop from Berlin, Germany to Washington DC in 8h 17min. The super large aircraft was carrying a payload equivalent to 12 passengers - a three-person crew, seven passengers and a fuel surplus of 540kg (1,200lb) above reserves.

Twinjet sales

UK VIP aircraft charter, brokerage and management company Twinjet has launched a company dedicated to selling and acquiring corporate jets after topping sales of $100 million in 2007. The new venture, dubbed Twinjet Aircraft Sales (UK), will concentrate "on the developing economies of the Middle East and the former Soviet Union states, Europe and North America".

Millennium order

Millennium Concepts has been selected by US completions company Gore Design to provide engineering, design and fabrication services for a VIP interior in a Boeing Business Jet. The BBJ is scheduled for delivery to its unnamed customer next year.

Elliott STC

Elliott Aviation has received supplemental type certification to install Rockwell Collins integrated flight information systems on Pro Line 21-equipped King Air B200 and 350 twin-engine turboprops. Moline, Illinois-based Elliot is now pursuing European approval for the system, which is designed to improve situational awareness and is equipped with electronic charts, graphical weather and enhanced map displays.
