IFIS STC
Raytheon Aircraft Services has received supplemental type certification (STC) to install the Rockwell Collins IFIS integrated flight information system on Beechcraft King Air B200s and 350s equipped with Collins Pro Line 21 avionics. IFIS provides electronic charts, graphical weather and enhanced map displays. Another STC covers the retrofit of Emteq LED interior lighting into Beechjet 400s.
Panel approval
Innovative Systems & Solutions has received supplemental type certification for its 10in (255mm) flat-panel displays in the Pilatus PC-12, with installation to be performed by Epps Aviation and Western Aviation. The system includes optional electronic flight bag features, including geo-reference charts.
Netjets plays safe
NetJets has signed a memorandum of understanding to become the second fractional-ownership operator to join the US Federal Aviation Administration’s Aviation Safety Action Programme (ASAP), under which crews voluntarily report safety issues. Rival fractional Flight Options joined ASAP in April.
Avjet Hangar
Avjet is to expand its Burbank, California fixed-base operation by adding a fifth hangar, to open in December next year, that is large enough to house two Boeing Business Jets and a Gulfstream V.
