Final tests
Cessna is close to certificating the Citation Mustang. The final 150h of function and reliability flight testing is under way, as is testing to clear the aircraft for flight into known icing.
Testbed select
A Gulfstream V has been selected as the testbed for the US Air Force's Integrated C4ISR Operational Networks programme, with an STG/MELE team as prime contractor and Magnus Aviation integrating the payloads and operating the platform.
Extra challenger
Charter provider Summit Jet has added a Boca Raton, Florida-based Bombardier Challenger 300 to its managed aircraft fleet as parent company JetDirect Aviation continues to expand nationally.
Heating approved
Raytheon Aircraft Services has received a supplemental type certificate (STC) to install an auxiliary ground heating system on Beechcraft Premier I/IA entry-level jets. The electric system pre-heats the cabin without the engines running. Raytheon has also won an STC to install Rockwell Collins' integrated flight information system (IFIS) on Pro Line 21-equipped Premier Is. Standard on Premier IAs, the IFIS provides electronic charts and graphical weather and enhanced map displays.
