CONTRACT FOR 328 SUPPORT
Airbus Corporate Jet Centre has awarded a long-term cabin completions and supply contract to German maintenance, repair and overhaul company 328 Support Services. The Oberpfaffenhofen-based company, which is the type certificate holder for the Dornier 328 family, has undertaken VIP conversions and refurbishment projects for various business jets and airliners and says it will be able to provide everything from "a complete VIP conversion to a systems integration".
APPLETON APPROVAL
Gulfstream's service centre in Appleton, Wisconsin has been awarded maintenance organisation authorisation from China and Nigeria. The approval paves the way for the facility to perform maintenance, repair, alteration and inspection on a host of Chinese and Nigerian business jets, including the Gulfstream family and the Hawker 900XP/800 series. "Foreign authorisations are important to our customers," says the General Dynamics-owned company, "particularly from countries such as China, where our fleet has grown from zero to more than 40 in about 11 years."
HAWKER REPAIR STATION
Hawker Beechcraft Global Customer Support has opened a maintenance facility at New Castle airport in Wilmington, Delaware. The repair station offers airframe, engine, avionics and mobile service support for Hawker Beechcraft's family of piston, turboprop and business jet aircraft.
JANA GOES GLOBAL
Bombardier has delivered a Global 5000 business jet to Jana Aviation. The super-large, privately owned aircraft will be managed by Executive Aircraft Services and based in Beirut, Lebanon.
RIZON APPROVAL
Rizon Jet's facility in Doha, Qatar has received approval from the Bermuda Department of Civil Aviation to maintain and repair Bermuda-registered aircraft.
