AIRPORT RENAMED
Abu Dhabi's Al Bateen airbase business jet airport is to be renamed City Airport, Abu Dhabi in an attempt "to communicate the airport's convenient location, just 10km [6 miles] from the heart of the city of Abu Dhabi, and its proximity to upcoming areas of the city", says airport owner Abu Dhabi Airports.
AERO CONTRACT
German business aviation services provider Aero-Dienst has secured a contract with an unnamed German company to provide maintenance on a new Bombardier Challenger 300. Nuremberg-based Aero Dienst says it has assisted in the acquisition and registration of the super-midsize business jet, which is scheduled to enter service in December.
