POLICE ERJ-145
Embraer subsidiary ECC Leasing has delivered a second ERJ-145 regional jet to the Brazilian federal police. Based in Brasilia, the 50-seat aircraft will be used for a variety of functions including helping to combat drug trafficking and border control.
MORE MAINTENANCE
The General Dynamics Aviation Services facility in West Palm Beach, Florida has clinched approvals from Argentina and UK territory Cayman Islands to perform maintenance on business jets. The approvals allow for maintenance and alterations on Bombardier Challenger series, Cessna, Dassault Falcon, Gulfstream and Hawker aircraft.
VISION MILESTONE
Gulfstream has marked the service entry of its 500th enhanced vision system eight years after the company began offering the flightdeck technology to operators of its large-cabin business jets. To date, EVS I is in service on 464 Gulfstream types while EVS II is in service on 36 Gulfstream aircraft.
ECLIPSE DEBTS
Eclipse Aerospace, the new owner of Eclipse Aviation, says it will not reopen the $8 million factory service centre at Albany International airport, which is owed nearly $170,000 in rent by the bankrupt company. Eclipse Aerospace earlier this month reopened the Eclipse 500 very light jet manufacturing facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from where it will sell parts and provide maintenance and upgrades for the 259-strong fleet.
