AVCON APPOINTED
US maintenance provider Jet Support Services has appointed Avcon Jet of Vienna as its eastern European sales representative. The move is part of Chicago-based Jet Support's bid to expand its business in Europe.
LEA ADDITIONS
London Executive Aviation is adding a fifth Embraer Legacy 600 and a Cessna Citation XLS to its 22-strong business aircraft fleet. The aircraft will be managed by the London-based operator and made available for charter.
G550 AVAILABLE
Jet Aviation has added a Gulfstream G550 to its management and charter fleet. The 14-seat, large-cabin aircraft is based in Switzerland and available for charter throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
DISCOUNT CARD
Fractional ownership and charter provider CitationAir has launched a discounted Jet Card for customers who fly "non-peak days for 355 days out of the year". The rates, says CitationAir, "amount to 24% per hour savings" over the offering from jet card market leader Marquis Jet.
CHARTER CLIMB
February was a much stronger month for the US executive charter market than the same month a year earlier, according to the latest data from online charter booking portal CharterX. Midsize jets showed the strongest recovery, with a 25.9% year-over-year increase, to 15,509 flight hours. Heavy jets recovered by 12.3%, to 8,610h, while light jets climbed 11% to 14,757h.
