VIP TANKS
Fokker Services has delivered the first auxiliary fuel tank system installed in a VIP-configured Fokker 100, to an undisclosed customer. The system consists of four additional fuel tanks installed in the forward belly cargo compartment, boosting the range of the twin-engined Rolls-Royce Tay-powered aircraft from 3,420km (1,850nm) to 5,000 km.
MIDCOAST STC
Midcoast Aviation has received supplemental type certificate organisation designation authorisation from the US Federal Aviation Administration. The designation enables the company to produce STCs in-house in support of its maintenance, repair, overhaul and completions activities. The new status replaces the company's previous designated alteration station approval and supports the FAA's goal of improving efficiency by allowing a qualified company to perform certain functions.
