SWIFT INSTALLATION

In-flight connectivity provider Aircell has gained European supplemental type certification for its Aviator 300-based SwiftBroadband solution for the Bombardier Challenger family of business jets. Meanwhile, Banyan Air Service has completed beta testing of the Thrane and Thrane Aviator 200 SwiftBroadband System with wi-fi capability on board a customer's Citation Jet. The Fort Lauderdale Executive airport-based Banyan is installing the system at an introductory price of $75,000, with the data access temporarily limited to local area network connections.


HUMANITARIAN CONTRACT

Air Partner has been awarded a four-year contract from the UK government to become the exclusive provider of all passenger and freight air charter services for the Department for International Development. The department is responsible for almost all humanitarian airlifts on behalf of the UK and for addressing the UK's global relief efforts.


EXCELAIRE ADDS

US charter company ExcelAire has added two Bombardier Global 5000 business jets to its fleet. One of the superlarge aircraft - seating up to 16 passengers - will be based in Columbus, Ohio, while the 13-seat variant will be based in the New York City metropolitan area, at MacArthur airport.
