Swiss completions company AMAC Aerospace has been chosen by UK luxury charter company Acropolis Aviation to outfit its Airbus ACJ320neo.
The Farnborough-based operator is the launch customer for the re-engined, VIP narrowbody, which is scheduled to arrive at AMAC’s Basel facility in the fourth quarter of 2018.
Acropolis announced at EBACE last year that it had selected French studio Alberto Pinto to design the ACJ320neo's interior, which will feature 19 seats and a private master bedroom with luxury en-suite bathroom. AMAC is scheduled to complete the project with 12 months.
Acropolis says it selected the outfitter after an extensive and competitive six-month tender process. “The quality offered by AMAC is second to none,” says company chief executive Jonathan Bousfield. “We are extremely pleased to return to EBACE to announce this decision jointly with AMAC and congratulate them too on a decade of success outfitting the finest VIP business jets.”
Since its launch in 2007, AMAC has undertaken 19 VIP and VVIP completion, refurbishment and modification projects.
