Slovenian business aircraft management company Elit’Avia is expanding its presence in Asia to exploit growing demand in the region for high-end business jets. The company, headquartered in Ljubljana, manages a fleet of 23 midsize, large-cabin and long-range jets including Dassault Falcon 7Xs, Gulfstream G550, G650s and Bombardier Global 6000/XRSs – for mainly European and Russian owners.

The line-up also includes a trio of Maltese-registered Bombardier types, which it operates on behalf of Singapore base OJets. This line up consists of two Global 6000s (9H-OJS and 9H-OJT) and a Challenger 650 (9H-OJJ), previously owned by defunct Singapore-US charter company Zetta Jet.

“Asia has great potential, particularly at the top end of the market where we are focused,” says Elit’Avia co-owner Nick Houseman. “Our next move is into VIP airliner management, with a particular focus on narrowbody Boeing Business Jets and Airbus corporate jetliners.”

The ten-year-old company, which holds a Maltese, Slovenian and San Marino air operator certificate, plans to grow its managed fleet to 30 aircraft by the end of 2019. “This will be our limit,” Houseman says. “If we grow any bigger the company simply becomes transactional and will lose its personal touch.”
