GlobeAir – the world’s largest operator of Cessna Citation Mustang business jets – is moving into the aircraft completions market following “positive” feedback to its restyled fleet of entry-level jets from European owners and operators.
The Austrian company, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, has designed four interiors for its 16-strong inventory, and last year completed a 20-month refurbishment drive.
“We have had such a positive response to these new cabins, not only from Mustang owners but also from operators of larger business jets,” says GlobeAir founder and chief executive Bernhard Fragner. “We may eventually adapt the interiors, firstly for the CJ-series of light business jets and then perhaps for larger cabin aircraft. This decision will depend on demand.”
The Mustang outfitting will be undertaken at the company’s maintenance facility in Genoa, Italy and will cost €39,000. “We will also provide bespoke interior upgrades for another €11,000,” says Fragner.
