Korea Aerospace Industries will supply the wings of the Gulfstream G280 business jet for the first time, after it inked a deal with Israel Aerospace Industries for a period of about 11 years.
KAI says under the $500 million contract, it will produce the entire wing of the aircraft before it goes into final assembly.
Cirium’s Fleets Analyzer shows that there are 167 G280s in services, with another 14 on order.
KAI, Korea’s sole aircraft manufacturer, is involved in the development of the Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 wing structures.
