IATA The International Air Transport Association is scouring its airline billing and settlement plan system after discovering 550 million baht ($17 million) went missing in Thailand between January 2006 and August 2009. The system facilitates airlines' collection of payments for agents' ticket sales. Thai police are investigating the August 2009 death of an IATA worker responsible for managing pre-payments under the system and reconciling bank accounts.
