Malév gets new boss, Bombardier gets Boeing coup

Thirty-year American Airlines veteran Jim Carter now heads the carrier's Greater New York sales office in addition to his role as VP Eastern sales division. André Wall has left Jet Aviation Zurich for SR Technics, where he is chief operations officer.

Former BAE Systems and Eurofighter executive Brian Phillipson has joined Marshall Aerospace to succeed Bob Ward as engineering director.

The UK Civil Aviation Authority has appointed Chris Finnigan as manager, general aviation flight operations inspectorate to replace the retired Robb Metcalfe.

Former Rolls-Royce senior VP St-John Williamson has joined Aero Vodochody as VP business development and sales. Martin George, acting general manager of Chromalloy's San Diego operation, has taken up the role permanently.

Hungarian flag carrier Malév has appointed its former consultant and former Deutsche BA managing director Martin Gauss as chief executive; Geza Fehervary has returned to his former position of chief operations officer after having acted as chief executive since February.

Boeing Commercial Aviation Services VP sales Steven Aliment has moved to Bombardier as head of European commercial aircraft sales.
